My stuff. Their stuff. And nostalgic stuff. This is the blog of Erin Hanson, Recovering Lazyholic.
Doodle Do
Envelopes, especially from junk mail, make for great scratch pads — to dos in a pinch, emergency grocery lists, don’t forget I love you notes. But man, Mikey Burton has taken it to the next level with his 100 Envelopes project.
Funny Business
For those times you when you’d rather just judge and skip the rest, Monkey’s Paw has a wonderful curated collection of the funny and weird from their bookstore
Oh, the Horror
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved horror movies. Maybe like a lot of kids the interest was born of morbid fascination — forbidden fruit as I walked down the video store isle and we as a family consistently walked briskly passed. I would occasionally take a detour back through the array of suggestive covers and imagine storylines based on the still sneak preview. So much to imagine and the 80’s were ripe with potential.
In Response
The other day someone with the screen name “Independent Mom” submitted feedback in the Admission Area. The form doesn’t capture contact info and I have no other way to respond. I didn’t want to go without recognizing her feedback though — soul-baring, guilt ridden, melancholy yet still hopeful.

Just a Juxta
Now chronicling thematic visual finds as they accidentally intersect on Pinterest.
Child's Play(list): 1st Edition, September
We listen to a lot of music in our house. Half of it breezes right past my ears. It really wasn't until Edie started stopping in her tracks, ending some pretty ferocious concentration, to wave her arm back and forth (sometimes Maya Rudolph style dance moves
Polaroid Originals
I admit that when I first read about the release of a new Polaroid camera I thought this was wholly independent of the Impossible Project. Why does that matter?
Finding My Footing
I have a few hoarding weaknesses. Despite existing inventory, space, or need -- show me a chair, a glass, a purse -- there is a strong gravitational pull to buy. I try to exercise a lot of restraint and have gotten better as I've gotten older. Shiny though...
